My Top 5 Products in Sculpt & Why

1.     Sculpt Cosmetics oil free liquid foundation

This is an amazing product as it is oil free. I find myself with an oily T-zone and most foundations only bring out more oil in my skin. I know most makeup looks the primer has a big part in calming the oil/redness/dryness in the skin but choosing the right foundation for you helps too! When I apply this foundation my skin looks flawless and shine-free its very long lasting and gives me a medium coverage. It goes onto the skin well and doesn't require much work the get brush strokes out as it goes on evenly, I prefer to buff it into the skin. This is my now favourite foundation as it suits my skin type, I use shade cameo beige.

2.     La girl luminous glow skin illuminator

This product is my personal favourite! It comes in shades 'moonlight' 'afterglow' and 'sunlit'. My favourite shade is 'afterglow' it gives such a natural glow. If I have a makeup free day and I want a bit of colour and a glow I just put a small bit on my face with a foundation brush to give a natural glow. I also love mixing it in with my foundation, for nights out if I'm wearing a darker foundation I would use shade 'sunlit'. This product is definitely one of my must haves!!

3.     Bperfect LMD master palette

I love this palette as it is so diverse. You can use this palette for any type of eye look day or night. The reason I took to this palette so much is because if I'm going somewhere it saves me bringing loads of different products with me as it has eyeshadow, blusher, contour and highlight all in the one!! The eyeshadows are so well pigmented and there is no fall down of the shimmers.  The blush is a nice in-between pinky/peachy colour. The highlight is one of my favourite things about this palette when mixing 'loyal' and 'hi-lite' together gives an amazing golden glow.

4.     La girl pro conceal HD concealer

This concealer is brilliant for blurring all imperfections on the face!! It covers everything. My personal favourite use for it is to conceal under the eyes and carve out my eyebrows using it also as an eyeshadow primer for the eye. I find It very good for camouflaging extra hairs on eyebrows that need covered or dark circles under the eyes.  It comes in a wide range of shades from light to dark.  I use shade 'porcelain' for day to day wear.

5.     Flormar loose  powder

I use shade 'silver sand (translucent)'. This is my all-time favourite powder, I use a powder brush and tap it on until the brush just slides round the face then I double check by using my hand to make sure everywhere is set. My favourite thing about this powder is that it doesn't alter the colour of foundation underneath as it is a clear powder meant only to set the face. Before contour and highlight it gives the face that oil-free flawless matte look which I love!!

Chanel, Nars, Clarins and Benefit – these are just a few of the international cosmetic brands that every Irish woman stockpiles into her beauty bag. Last week, I interviewed Suzie O’Neill, creator of AYU Make Up who illustrated to us that home grown, Irish beauty tools could be manufactured to equally as high a standard as their foreign counterparts so, what about make up itself?

Beauty on Board, Holiday essentials

t is, dare I say it officially summer season, which means one thing for us Irish folk; heading off to the airport to hop on a plane to catch some guaranteed actual sunshine, that we just are not likely to get here in Ireland. I personally love getting away but I hate being without all my beauty treats, which for me is make up, body lotions, perfumes, hair products, body mists, tan, mitts an the list goes on and on.
